Product Information
The product image and title will determine what type of item you are purchasing. Please review the sections below carefully.
Item should be physically in stock
If the listing displays a real photograph of the book, we should currently have that exact item in our inventory. Please Do NOT Purchase a non Pre-Order Book That is missing a picture, As we likely DO NOT Have it and will have to refund it if you purchase it. If you want us to look for a book that doesn't have an image, please message us to confirm we have it before buying...
Our inventory is extremely large and occasionally subject to discrepancies. If an issue arises, we will ensure that you either receive the correct item or are issued a full refund.
This is a preorder item
If the listing uses a stock image and includes an Order By date or In Store date in the title, the book is a pre-release item.
Orders must be placed by 11:00 AM Eastern Time on the Order By date to guarantee availability.
Images, Order By dates, and In Store dates are all subject to change.
Back issue ordered from distributor
If the listing uses a stock image and does not include an Order By date or In Store date, the book is not currently in our inventory.
We will place an order through our distributor and must wait for them to ship the item to us before we can ship it to you.
These items will typically not ship for at least one week after your order is placed.
Distributor inventory and cover images are subject to change at any time.
Shipping & Mixed Orders
We ship each order once, after all items in that order are in our possession.
If your order includes a mix of in-stock books and preorder or distributor items, the entire order will be held until every item has been received.
Preorders and distributor-sourced books may significantly delay shipment. Release dates frequently change, sometimes by several months.
While we can accommodate mixed orders if necessary, we strongly recommend placing:
• In-stock back issues in one order
• Preorder items in a separate order
This also applies to preorder-only orders. These orders will not ship until all items have been released and received by us.
If you have any questions or would like to arrange your order differently, please message us and we will be happy to assist.

🔥 The Witness
Cover-dated June 2000, this issue follows immediately after the fallout of the Quakists incident, as Jean-Paul grapples with the possibility that he may have killed an innocent man. Written by Dennis O’Neil with art by Roger Robinson and James Pascoe, the chapter explores guilt, manipulation, and the fragile line between justice and vengeance.
Batman attempts to take control of the Azrael murder case, while Huntress refuses to trust his judgment and vows to turn Jean-Paul in herself. As Batman questions Brian Bryan and Dr. Leslie Thompkins, Jean-Paul hides beneath a bridge—haunted, exhausted, and unsure of what he may have done. When a stranger approaches him with a knife, Jean-Paul reacts instinctively, putting on the mask and striking back with punishing force.
Still tormented, he confronts Nicholas Scratch in a rage. Scratch feigns fear and manipulates him, warning that Azrael is dangerously close to killing the supposed eyewitness. The psychological tactic breaks Jean-Paul’s resolve—he removes the mask and flees, leaving Scratch uncertain whether his plan is working.
Jean-Paul returns to the church, where Huntress and Batman confront him together. Batman reveals the truth: Jean-Paul was drugged by Scratch during their tea, and a witness—Harold, the church handyman—saw Scratch committing the murder himself. Jean-Paul is relieved to hear Batman affirm his innocence, and with a sense of release, he burns the original Azrael armor that Scratch forced him back into.
But as the issue closes, two police officers discover another dead body beneath a bridge—leaving a chilling question hanging in the air about the consequences of Jean-Paul’s earlier encounter.
