At B & J Comics Etc., we know how important condition is to collectors. Every order is carefully inspected, securely packed, and shipped with tracking from our shop in downtown Wilton, Maine.
π¦ How We Pack Your Books & Collectibles
We pack every shipment the way we want our own grails shipped:
- Bagged & Boarded: All raw comics (plus larger items like manga, trades, and hardcovers) ship bagged and boarded.
- Rigid Mailers & Boxes: Comics are secured in sturdy comic mailers or heavy-duty boxes with bubble wrap and corner protection so spines and corners stay sharp in transit.
- Graded Slabs & Figures: Slabs and collectibles are individually wrapped and cushioned against impact.
π Free In-Store Pickup
Live near Wilton, Farmington, or the surrounding Maine area? Save on shipping at checkout:
- Free In-Store Pickup: Select In-Store Pickup at checkout and pick up your order at 346 Main Street, Wilton, ME 04294 during regular shop hours (TueβWed 11amβ5pm, Fri 11amβ7pm, Sat 10amβ7pm).
β±οΈ Processing & Handling Times
- In-Stock Items (Real Photo Listings): Typically inspected, bagged/boarded, and shipped within 2β5 business days.
- Preorders: Ship within 5β10 business days after the final item in your order arrives in-store.
- Distributor-Ordered Back Issues (Stock Image Only): Require at least 1β2 weeks to arrive from our distributor before we can inspect and ship them to you.
π¦ Mixed Orders & Preorder Holding Rule
We ship each order once, after all items in that order are in our possession.
Each checkout generates one shipping label. If your order mixes in-stock back issues with upcoming preorders (or items with different FOC dates), your entire order will be held safely until the final item arrives.

π°οΈ Shipping Carriers & Tracking Numbers
We ship via trusted carriers including USPS and UPS depending on package weight, size, and destination.
As soon as your shipping label is created and your package is ready for dispatch, you will automatically receive a shipping confirmation email with your live tracking number.
π² Shipping Rates & Estimates
Shipping rates and delivery estimates are calculated and displayed transparently at checkout based on your order weight/contents and destination address.
Please note that original shipping charges are non-refundable unless we made an error with your order.
π Address Accuracy & Returned Packages
Please double-check your shipping address before completing checkout! Need to update an address before your order ships? Contact us immediately at 207-778-1569 or info@bandjcomics.com.
If a package is returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer, the buyer is responsible for the reshipment postage cost.
π¨οΈ Carrier Delays, Weather & Lost Packages
Delivery timeframes shown at checkout are carrier estimates. Actual delivery times may vary due to USPS/UPS delays, severe Maine/regional weather, holidays, or peak shipping seasons outside of our control.
If your tracking shows a package is stuck in transit or missing, reach out to us and we will gladly help you file a carrier trace or insurance claim.
πΈ What If My Package Arrives Damaged?
If your order arrives damaged in transit, please contact us within 72 hours of delivery at info@bandjcomics.com or text 207-778-1569 with your order number and clear photos of both the item and the shipping box/mailer.
We will review your claim right away and provide a replacement (if available) or a full refund.
