Product Information
The product image and title will determine what type of item you are purchasing. Please review the sections below carefully.
Item should be physically in stock
If the listing displays a real photograph of the book, we should currently have that exact item in our inventory. Please Do NOT Purchase a non Pre-Order Book That is missing a picture, As we likely DO NOT Have it and will have to refund it if you purchase it. If you want us to look for a book that doesn't have an image, please message us to confirm we have it before buying...
Our inventory is extremely large and occasionally subject to discrepancies. If an issue arises, we will ensure that you either receive the correct item or are issued a full refund.
This is a preorder item
If the listing uses a stock image and includes an Order By date or In Store date in the title, the book is a pre-release item.
Orders must be placed by 11:00 AM Eastern Time on the Order By date to guarantee availability.
Images, Order By dates, and In Store dates are all subject to change.
Back issue ordered from distributor
If the listing uses a stock image and does not include an Order By date or In Store date, the book is not currently in our inventory.
We will place an order through our distributor and must wait for them to ship the item to us before we can ship it to you.
These items will typically not ship for at least one week after your order is placed.
Distributor inventory and cover images are subject to change at any time.
Shipping & Mixed Orders
We ship each order once, after all items in that order are in our possession.
If your order includes a mix of in-stock books and preorder or distributor items, the entire order will be held until every item has been received.
Preorders and distributor-sourced books may significantly delay shipment. Release dates frequently change, sometimes by several months.
While we can accommodate mixed orders if necessary, we strongly recommend placing:
• In-stock back issues in one order
• Preorder items in a separate order
This also applies to preorder-only orders. These orders will not ship until all items have been released and received by us.
If you have any questions or would like to arrange your order differently, please message us and we will be happy to assist.

🔥 Scratched Out!
Cover-dated October 1999, this No Man’s Land chapter continues Nicholas Scratch’s escalating threat as Jean-Paul faces both physical punishment and inner conflict. Written by Dennis O’Neil with art by Roger Robinson and James Pascoe, the issue pushes Azrael to his psychological edge.
Captured by Scratch and surrounded by a violent cult of followers, Jean-Paul buys time by convincing Scratch it would be more meaningful to execute him as Azrael. Scratch agrees and orders his men to beat Jean-Paul savagely until dawn.
Moving independently, Batgirl dismantles Scratch’s operation by quietly stealing weapons from his followers, forcing chaos in the camp. She finds Jean-Paul bound, but he urges her to wait—he has a plan that relies on Scratch completing a ritualistic execution.
At sunrise, Scratch theatrically dresses Jean-Paul in the Azrael costume but denies him the cowl. When Scratch allows the mob to stone him instead of shooting him, Azrael demands the cowl as a symbol of Scratch’s “victory.” The moment Scratch places it on him, Jean-Paul snaps into full Azrael mode, breaking free from the ropes and deflecting the incoming barrage.
As Scratch’s men attempt to regain control, Batgirl crashes in and disables every armed follower in seconds. Facing betrayal from his own people, Scratch tries to order a scapegoat to attack Azrael. But Azrael insists Scratch confront him personally, and the two clash until Azrael brutally defeats him. The cult disperses, disillusioned by their leader’s cowardice.
Back at Leslie Thompkins’ clinic, Jean-Paul admits he enjoyed the violence. Leslie assures him this struggle is part of being human, and together they return to helping the wounded of No Man’s Land.
