Product Information

The product image and title will determine what type of item you are purchasing. Please review the sections below carefully.

Real Image

Item should be physically in stock

If the listing displays a real photograph of the book, we should currently have that exact item in our inventory. Please Do NOT Purchase a non Pre-Order Book That is missing a picture, As we likely DO NOT Have it and will have to refund it if you purchase it. If you want us to look for a book that doesn't have an image, please message us to confirm we have it before buying...

Our inventory is extremely large and occasionally subject to discrepancies. If an issue arises, we will ensure that you either receive the correct item or are issued a full refund.

Stock Image + Dates

This is a preorder item

If the listing uses a stock image and includes an Order By date or In Store date in the title, the book is a pre-release item.

Orders must be placed by 11:00 AM Eastern Time on the Order By date to guarantee availability.

Images, Order By dates, and In Store dates are all subject to change.

Stock Image Only

Back issue ordered from distributor

If the listing uses a stock image and does not include an Order By date or In Store date, the book is not currently in our inventory.

We will place an order through our distributor and must wait for them to ship the item to us before we can ship it to you.

These items will typically not ship for at least one week after your order is placed.

Distributor inventory and cover images are subject to change at any time.

Shipping & Mixed Orders

We ship each order once, after all items in that order are in our possession.

If your order includes a mix of in-stock books and preorder or distributor items, the entire order will be held until every item has been received.

Preorders and distributor-sourced books may significantly delay shipment. Release dates frequently change, sometimes by several months.

While we can accommodate mixed orders if necessary, we strongly recommend placing:
β€’ In-stock back issues in one order
β€’ Preorder items in a separate order

This also applies to preorder-only orders. These orders will not ship until all items have been released and received by us.

If you have any questions or would like to arrange your order differently, please message us and we will be happy to assist.

πŸ”₯ Angel Wings

Published with a cover date of November 1998 by DC Comics, this special issue ties directly into the large-scale DC One Million crossover event. Written by Dennis O’Neil, with pencils and inks by Vincent Giarrano and colors by Demetrius Bassoukos and Prismacolor, the story showcases a futuristic evolution of Azrael in the 853rd Century.

The Azrael of this distant era is gifted powerful teleportation wings, enabling instantaneous travel through space and time. Unfortunately, his well-intended missions often spiral out of control, as his attempts to enforce justice lead to unintended casualties. His chaotic interventions bring him into conflict with iconic figures such as Green Arrow, Catwoman, Robin the Toy Wonder, various Hawkmen, and even the Two-Face of the era.

As he navigates worlds including Mars, Deimos, Earth, Pluto, and eventually the 20th Century Gotham City, his destructive misunderstandings highlight the dangers of unchecked zealotry. A cameo by the original Azrael, Jean-Paul Valley, reinforces the thematic contrast between legacy and misguided future interpretation.

This issue blends cosmic adventure with dark humor and philosophical irony, revealing an Azrael whose β€œangelic” powers only amplify his flaws. It stands as a memorable component of the DC One Million event, examining how myth can warp across centuries.
