📘 Series Summary
Born from the disillusionment following Civil War II, Champions Volume 2 represents a generational shift in the Marvel Universe. When Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan), Spider-Man (Miles Morales), and Nova (Sam Alexander) quit the Avengers in protest of the older heroes' methods, they decide to form a new team dedicated to "winning the right way." Written by Mark Waid with energetic art by Humberto Ramos, the series focuses on positive social change, humanitarian efforts, and reclaiming the optimism of superheroics.
The founding trio is soon joined by Viv Vision (the daughter of the Vision) and the Totally Awesome Hulk (Amadeus Cho), followed shortly by a time-displaced Cyclops. Together, they tackle human trafficking, religious intolerance, and corporate corruption, all while dealing with the pressures of being young heroes in a viral, social-media-driven world. This run is widely celebrated for its diverse cast and its commitment to showing that being a hero is about more than just punching villains—it's about wisdom, hope, and standing up for the "little people."
