Overview

The original Amethyst: Princess of Gemworld miniseries (1983) introduced Amy Winston, a 13-year-old who discovers she is the long-lost princess of Gemworld. Created by Dan Mishkin, Gary Cohn, and Ernie Colón, the series blended fantasy, magic, coming-of-age themes, and heroic adventure.

Synopsis

On her 13th birthday, Amy is transported from Earth to Gemworld, where she becomes the 20-year-old warrior Princess Amethyst. She learns her parents were slain by the tyrant Dark Opal, whose power threatens all twelve gemstone houses. As she battles monsters, sorcery, and political intrigue, Amethyst must accept her identity and destiny as Gemworld’s protector.
