📘 Series Summary

Airwaves is a five-issue cyberpunk-flavored dystopian series set in a future America dominated by powerful corporate interests and pervasive media control. The story centers on Paisley, an underground radio DJ, and Jon Pure, a rock singer, who become unlikely figures in a growing resistance movement against an authoritarian corporate regime.

Created by Michael Lark and Debra Rodia, the series explores themes of propaganda, censorship, identity, and rebellion, using pirate radio and music as weapons against psychological control. Told in stark black-and-white artwork, Airwaves builds steadily toward confrontation as the heroes uncover a mass brainwashing scheme designed to pacify the population. Originally planned as a six-issue miniseries, the story concludes with issue #5.
